Shampoo and conditioner of the moment

I've been on a shampoo and conditioner hunt since this happened. Pretty sure I've tried at least 100 combinations, including John Masters, Jasons, Aubrey, Avalon Organics, Briogeo, Ahnesti, Hugos, Nature's Gate, Wonder Seed, Alaffia, Shea Moisture, Shikai and more.

My hair seems to display symptoms of build up. A shampoo/conditioner will work for one shower, maybe a dozen, and then fall limp and dull. When I switch and move back, it'll work again. But for a shorter period. Doing some research indicates panthenol, the famous B5 vitamin for improving hair health, can cause build up. And there are very few conditioners without it. Also, waxes and certain emulsifiers are prone to build up. Until I can unearth a brand without these (and sulfates and harsh preservatives), I've found a good alternative.
Rahua gives me the highest ratio of good hair days. I still need to switch it up often. But they do the best at volume, frizz reduction, shine enhancement and wave contouring. Their formula isn't particularly revolutionary. Typical conditioner is made of water, oils, butters, humectants, emulsifiers and sometimes occlusives. And so is theirs. But perhaps it is the ratio that's key. Panthenol, notably, is at the bottom of the list.

The price isn't ideal, I won't lie. But you can often find it on sale at Dermstore, The Detox Market and Spirit Beauty Lounge. In the meantime, I'm playing around with DIY.
