Blissoma Restore Serum

Winter is coming. And I have just the oil for you.

I have a soft spot for red raspberry seed oil. So when I spotted it in Blissoma's Restore Serum I had to give it a try.

I have never sampled any of Blissoma's products before. Blissoma is one of the rare companies whose entire line only contains clean ingredients. They manufacture their own herb extracts and juice fresh produce harvested from their own fields. Everything is made by the founder, Julie Longyear and production manager Frank Wilderspin. The fantastic company has been on my radar for awhile and I'd always hoped I would have a chance to sample their line. The opportunity arose when my other raspberry seed oil from MVO ran out.

This may be called a serum, but is in fact an oil blend. It is bursting with ten organic oils. The very first ingredient in this blend, which I always think is a tell all, is organic evening primrose oil. Evening Primrose oil is rich in omega 5, 6, and 9 essential fatty acids including GLA. Omega 5 is a rare fatty acid that acts as a potent antioxidant, an anti-inflammatory, and a highly absorbent nutrient for skin cells. Blissoma also includes hemp seed oil so rich in chlorofyll that it's green.  In addition to red raspberry seed oil, Tamanu oil, also known for its UV protective properties, makes an appearance. Tamanu oil is incredibly potent against acne, bug bites and skin irritations. Neroli and immortelle, renowned for their healing properties, are the cherries on top.

The directions for this oil tell those with normal skin to use it weekly, so of course I started with it daily. My skin did not complain for a second. It loved it. In comparison to other oils I've tried, this one is much richer. In fact, it may be the most effective moisturizer I've tried. This is not surprising, as the base, evening primrose oil, is an incredibly nourishing and moisturizing oil. As a result, it is a perfect choice for winter skin.

Have you tried any of Blissoma's wonderful skincare? Their entire line is clean through and through, so you don't have to scrutinize the ingredients. They stand out because I so infrequently find this in a company. Tell me if you have a favorite product of theirs!

    1. You should definitely try them! I haven't used any besides this oil yet, but I've read great things about so many of their products! And I'll definitely be testing out more in the future.

  2. We've been happily selling Blissoma for almost 2 years here in Singapore and can honestly attest to the efficacy of every product. What we notice, compared to other brands, is there are really no "filler" ingredients....everything has a purpose and it works! We find the Mild Rice cleanser and Herbal Gel cleansers are incredibly popular, and all of their lotions are simply fabulous (especially for sensitive skin)!
