My deodorant stopped working.
I started working in an air conditioned building and all of a sudden all bets were off. The weekend was fine. Evening yoga classes were fine. But that work week was ruined. My trusty Lemongrass Pit Putty and Burt's Bee's Herbal Spray needed to be upgraded.
So I decided to give the cult classic Soapwalla a go. I know, I know, I said I didn't want a cream that I had to apply with my fingers. It was a last ditch resort. But you know what? It's not bad at all. In fact, the cream isn't goopey or sticky and you barely notice a residue, so it's easy to rinse off simply with water.
I've been using Soapwalla for about nine months. It had a rigorous trial. I didn't want to just know that it passed the air conditioning test, or the summer hike ordeal. I needed to know that it stood the test of time. Our bodies can adjust somehow. It's like using a different shampoo and having an amazing hair day. Well, despite the fact that I don't possess a patient bone in my body, I can now report that it indeed stands the test of time. Over the course of nine months it has not once let me down. That means air conditioning, summer hikes, heated yoga, dancing the night away, days at the lake, the tropics. Do you get the picture yet?
Soapwalla uses lavender, sweet orange and peppermint essential oils because combined, this trifecta is antibacterial, antifungal, antimicrobial and antiseptic. In addition, corn starch, baking soda and kaolin clay are included to absorb moisture. A few oils are included for a soothing quality. That's it. This formula is all about performance. And it doesn't sacrifice it's clean credits for any of the uglies, including propylene glycol, parabens or aluminum.
One word of caution: some friends of mine, as well as reviewers online, have discovered that the baking soda in Soapwalla is irritating and can cause a rash after repeat usage. But it never happened to me and my pits remained nothing but happy.
