A Formaldehyde Free Lash Glue

Don't want formaldehyde in your eyes? Me neither.

Winks by Georgie has created an adhesive for false lashes that has answered your prayers. They offer an eyelash glue that, while not perfect, doesn't include chemicals for embalming. I haven't sampled this adhesive, but it gets widespread praise and can even be picked up at Nordstrom.

Winks still contains sodium dodecylbenzene sulfonate. The Material Safety Datasheet for this ingredient cautions against contact with eyes at full concentration. And Skin Deep has limited data on the chemical. But as it is free of fragrance, formaldehyde and harsh preservatives, it is still a vast improvement compared to the other choices available. Let me know if you've tried it and what you think.

Georgie, are you listening? What do you think about removing sodium dodecylbenzene sulfonate?

The remaining ingredients include the likes of chamomile extract, lavendar and natural rubber latex. It's even made in the USA. And get this, it's the same price as my old formaldehyde laced DUO lash glue from Walgreens.

Special thanks to Goddess Huntress for the magnificent find!
