Cleaning products have perpetually frustrated me. They aren't required to disclose comprehensive ingredient listings like personal care products. Nearly all will include only vague descriptions like: "non-ionic surfactant," which are pretty much no help at all.

Nature wins again. Breaking research conducted by Dr. Escalada from Leeds Metropolitan University found that a solution made from thyme is more effective at treating the acne bacterium than benzoyl peroxide.

was bought by Clorox in 2008. That's right, the brand known for making bleach. I'm not gonna lie, it doesn't give me much confidence in the company continuing to create clean products. But this deodorant seems to be keeping my hopes alive.

Celebrities seem to be cross training quite a bit as of late. They're starting clothing lines, designing signature fragrances, endorsing pills, and even creating their own organic skin care lines. Model Miranda Kerr launched the natural skincare brand Kora Organics, which was recently certified organic by Ecocert. And now Gisele Bündchen has stepped up, founding Sejaa Pure Skincare.

It looks like this saga, which has been going on since 2009, may be over. GIB, the manufacturer that produces the Brazilian Blowout has agreed to pay $4.5 million to settle a class action lawsuit. In 2011, the FDA issued a warning letter to GIB regarding health complaints and mislabeling of the product. While GIB labelled the product "formaldehyde free," it actually emitted about 9% formaldehyde.

Does this lipstick look familiar? Then I have some bad news for you. The FDA just released a new study on the lead content in lipstick and the tube shown above, Mabelline's Color Sensational, was the worst offender.
