KORA Organics by Miranda Kerr

Did you know Miranda Kerr (yes the Victoria's Secret model) started her own skincare line, Kora Organics? It's a relatively new product line which claims to be free of sulfates, parabens, synthetic fragrance, synthetic colors, T.E.A., D.E.A., glycols, silicones, PEGS, ethoxylate and formaldehyde. So did Miranda live up to her claims? My curiosity was piqued, so I thought I would investigate.

Kora features facial cleansers, sunscreen, face mist, oil, eye gel, mask, body wash and lotion. I was very happy to see that Miranda lived up to her claims and left out sulfates (and all those in sulfates' extended family as well) in her face and body washes. Her sunscreen also features zinc, my favorite UV protection, and no chemical blockers.

Miranda swears by noni, a tree in the coffee family, and has included it in most of her formulations. All of Kora's products also have a handful of organic ingredients. However, the occasional limonene and linalool crop up, which can oxidize into skin and respiratory irritants. Nevertheless, I'm actually incredibly amazed at the quality of the ingredients and how few fillers there are.

On the whole, Miranda really pleasantly surprised me.

I have nothing to disclose. I sought out this product line and was not compensated monetarily or otherwise for this post.

  2. I really want to try their tinted day cream because it has zinc in it and it's supposed to look like you're wearing makeup!
